Preparation
- Start by measuring out all your ingredients to streamline the process.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until soft peaks form.
Assembling the cake
- On a serving platter, place a single layer of hazelnut wafers and spread a generous layer of chocolate hazelnut spread over them.
- Next, add a layer of whipped cream mixture. Repeat this layering process until all ingredients are used.
Chilling
- Cover the finished cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
Serving
- Before serving, sprinkle chocolate shavings on top. Slice and enjoy with family and friends.
Notes
To keep cake fresh, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best enjoyed within 3 days. Also freezes well for up to a month.
