For the cake layers
  • 9 oz hazelnut wafers
  • 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
For the cream filling
  • 3 cups heavy cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt for a healthy twist.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
For garnish
  • Chocolate shavings For topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by measuring out all your ingredients to streamline the process.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until soft peaks form.
Assembling the cake
  1. On a serving platter, place a single layer of hazelnut wafers and spread a generous layer of chocolate hazelnut spread over them.
  2. Next, add a layer of whipped cream mixture. Repeat this layering process until all ingredients are used.
Chilling
  1. Cover the finished cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
Serving
  1. Before serving, sprinkle chocolate shavings on top. Slice and enjoy with family and friends.

Notes

To keep cake fresh, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best enjoyed within 3 days. Also freezes well for up to a month.
