Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups cooked and shredded Halal chicken Use store-bought rotisserie chicken for ease.
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese Shredded.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese Shredded.
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
Spices and Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley Chopped.
Topping Ingredients
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs For topping.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Melted.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked and shredded Halal chicken with the garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until well coated.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend the mayonnaise, heavy cream, and half of the Swiss and cheddar cheese. Stir in the chopped parsley.
  4. Add the chicken to the cheese mixture; gently stir until the chicken is well coated.
Assembly and Baking
  1. In a greased baking dish (about 9x13 inches), layer the chicken mixture evenly. Top with the remaining cheese.
  2. Drizzle the melted butter over the breadcrumbs and sprinkle them evenly across the top.
  3. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  4. Once out of the oven, allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

If you don't like Swiss cheese, other semi-hard cheeses like provolone work perfectly. Allow the casserole to sit after baking for easier serving. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage.
