Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz pasta (macaroni or rotini) Any pasta shape works, but macaroni or rotini is preferred.
  • 1 lb halal ground beef or turkey You can substitute chicken or use vegetarian options like black beans.
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce Crisp varieties work best for crunch.
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup pickles, sliced For crunch and flavor.
  • ½ cup diced onions Provides additional flavor.
  • ½ cup Big Mac sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning to personal preference.

Method

Preparation
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, rinse under cold water, and set aside to cool.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add the halal ground beef or turkey. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat and allow it to cool.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, cooled meat, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced pickles, and diced onions.
  4. Pour the Big Mac sauce over the mixture. Toss gently until everything is well combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Serve chilled.

Notes
