  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar Can be substituted with apple cider vinegar.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1-2 teaspoons chili oil Adjust to taste.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon sugar Helps to balance the sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons water To thin the sauce as needed.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather your ingredients. Line up all your ingredients to make the process smoother.
  2. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and water. Whisk until well blended.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Add the sesame oil and chili oil to the mix. Adjust the chili oil according to your heat preference.
  5. Give everything a good stir to combine all ingredients well.
  6. Taste your sauce and add more of any ingredient if you wish to enhance a flavor.
  7. Serve fresh or store in the refrigerator for later use.

Notes

Best served fresh but can be refrigerated for up to one week. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving to allow flavors to develop.
