  • 1/4 cup honey Can substitute with maple syrup.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for better flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking on the griddle.
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for garnish Chopped green onions For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel to ensure they sear beautifully.
  2. In a small bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and a dash of salt and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
  3. Heat your griddle or non-stick pan over medium-high heat and drizzle it with olive oil.
Cooking
  1. Once the skillet is hot, place the chicken breasts on the surface and sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  2. Brush the honey-garlic mixture generously on each chicken breast during the last 2 minutes of cooking, allowing the glaze to caramelize slightly.
Serving
  1. Transfer the chicken to a platter, drizzle with some leftover glaze, and sprinkle with chopped green onions for an extra pop of color.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or on the griddle over low heat, adding a splash of water if microwaving to keep moisture.
