Ingredients
  

Herbs and Aromatics
  • 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped Substitutions include basil or mint.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
Liquid Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the parsley and cilantro in cold water to clean them. Pat them dry with a towel. Finely chop the fresh herbs and set them aside in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl with the herbs.
Mixing
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and olive oil.
  2. Slowly whisk the liquid mixture into the herb and garlic combination to distribute the flavors evenly.
Seasoning and Serving
  1. Add salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
  2. If time allows, let your Green Sauce sit for about 10 minutes at room temperature to let the flavors meld together.
  3. Serve your Green Sauce with grilled meats, roasted veggies, or as a flavorful dip.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Freeze in ice cube trays for longer storage. Thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.
