Method
Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, feta cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix with your hands or a spoon until everything is well blended.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter. You should have around 12-15 meatballs, depending on size.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through.
Making the Tzatziki
- While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the tzatziki. In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, fresh dill or mint, and salt. Stir until well combined.
Serving
- Once the meatballs are ready, serve them hot with a generous scoop of tzatziki on the side. Enjoy with fresh pita bread or a Greek salad for a complete meal!
Notes
For perfect meatballs, avoid overmixing the meatball mixture to prevent toughness and cook in batches to achieve a nice golden crust. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
