Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 lb ground turkey Use lean ground turkey for best results.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use plain or seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled Adds flavor and moisture.
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley Fresh parsley enhances the flavors.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Traditional herb for Greek dishes.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper to taste Season according to preference.
  • 1 large egg Helps bind the mixture.
For the Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt Use full-fat or low-fat Greek yogurt.
  • 1 medium cucumber, grated Squeeze out excess water before mixing.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Fresh lemon juice enhances flavor.
  • Salt to taste Salt to taste Adjust according to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, crumbled feta cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and the egg. Mix until fully combined.
  3. Shape the turkey mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a lined baking sheet.
Cooking
  1. Bake the meatballs in the oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  2. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the tzatziki by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Once cooked, remove the meatballs from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving with the tzatziki sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat gently to maintain moisture.
