  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter Can be substituted with Halal-friendly margarine or coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional ingredient
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or a little butter.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted.
  3. Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down firmly with a spatula.
  5. Allow to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store treats in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months. Warm in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to restore gooeyness.
