  • 1 pre-made pie crust 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade) Can use either store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 cup 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Melted before mixing.
  • 2 large 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark, depending on preference) Choose based on chocolate preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the pre-made pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish, gently pressing it down to mold the crust snugly against the sides.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar, stirring until well blended. Then, add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into your wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, distributing them evenly throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pie crust, making sure it is spread evenly.
Baking
  1. Place the pie dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  2. Allow the Gooey Brownie Pie to cool for at least 10-15 minutes before slicing.
