Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, use a fork to mash the softened goat cheese until creamy and spreadable.
  2. Add olive oil, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper to the mashed goat cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Sample a small spoonful of your mixture. Adjust seasoning if needed; feel free to add more herbs or a pinch of salt.
  4. Transfer the goat cheese mixture to a serving dish, creating a small well in the center. Drizzle a little extra olive oil on top if desired.
  5. Serve your Goat Cheese Appetizer with a variety of crackers or sliced artisan bread.

Notes

If using dried herbs, note that they will elevate the flavors dramatically! For a lighter texture, blend in a little cream cheese or yogurt. Avoid using overly strong herbs to not overpower the delicate flavor of goat cheese. Preparing ahead of time and chilling for about 30 minutes helps firm it up.
