Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, orange juice, and orange zest to the butter-sugar mixture, stirring until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto your prepared baking sheet.
Baking
- Bake in your preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
- While the cookies cool, prepare the glaze by combining powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl.
- Once the cookies are completely cool, drizzle the glaze over each cookie.
- Let the glaze set before serving.
