Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz tortellini (any flavor – cheese or spinach work well)
  • 1 lb halal beef steak (such as sirloin or ribeye)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for some heat)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for serving)

Method

Cooking Tortellini
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions (usually 2-3 minutes for fresh tortellini). Once they float to the top, they’re done! Drain and set aside.
Preparing Steak
  1. While the pasta is cooking, pat the halal steak dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cooking Steak
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak. Sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust based on thickness and personal taste). Remove from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing into thin strips.
Making Garlic Sauce
  1. In the same skillet where you cooked the steak, add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet, tossing gently to coat in the garlic oil. Add the sliced steak on top, mixing everything together until well combined and heated through.
Serving
  1. Plate your stunning dish and garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, if desired. Enjoy your Garlic Steak Tortellini with family and friends!

Notes

If you want to switch things up, try using grilled chicken or shrimp instead of steak for a twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month.
