Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Tear off about 4 large sheets of aluminum foil, using two layers per pack to prevent leaks.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced potatoes, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Toss until well coated.
- Place an even portion of the potato mixture in the center of each foil sheet.
- Add a ribeye steak on top of the potato mixture for each pack.
- Fold the sides of the foil over to create a sealed pack, ensuring no steam can escape.
Cooking
- Place the foil packs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, depending on your desired doneness for the steak.
Serving
- Carefully unwrap the foil (watch out for steam!) and serve garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
For substitutions, consider using chicken breasts or lamb steaks. For extra crispy potatoes, pre-boil them for about 10 minutes before adding to the foil packs. Ensure that the foil is tightly sealed to prevent leaks. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
