Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 loaf 1 loaf of bread (Italian or French)
  • 4 cloves 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • to taste Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get it nice and ready for your bread.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until it becomes a smooth paste.
  3. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Use your hands to gently pull apart some of the bread from the center to create a little more space for that wonderful herb and cheese mixture.
  4. Generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on each side of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella generously on top of the garlic butter.
Baking
  1. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet. Pop them in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are slightly golden.
  2. Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing into pieces. Enjoy!

Notes

Top Tips: Use fresh parsley for optimal flavor, experiment with different cheeses, monitor baking time carefully, and ensure butter is softened for spreading. Storing: Let cool completely, wrap tightly, and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for a month. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
