Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly for a few minutes.
- Whisk in the granulated sugar until fully combined, then add the eggs one by one, whisking until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
- Pour in the vanilla extract followed by the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gently fold the ingredients until just combined.
Baking
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly with a rubber spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling and Serving
- Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting them into squares.
