Ingredients

For the Fruit Salsa
  • 1 cup strawberries, diced
  • 1 cup kiwi, diced
  • 1 cup pineapple, diced
  • 1 cup mango, diced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
For the Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips
  • 4 whole pita breads
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Method

Prepare the Pita Chips
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut each pita bread into 8 wedges and lay them out on a baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the pita wedges.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Craft the Fruit Salsa
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, and mango.
  2. Drizzle the lime juice and honey over the diced fruits and gently toss until everything is well coated.
  3. Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes to let the flavors meld.
Serve
  1. Once the pita chips are ready, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
  2. Serve the fruit salsa alongside the cinnamon sugar pita chips.

Notes

If you have leftover fruit salsa, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. The pita chips should be kept in a cool, dry place in an airtight bag, lasting up to a week. To reheat, pop them back in the oven for a couple of minutes to regain their crispy texture.
