For the Fruit Salsa
  • 2 cups mixed fresh fruit (such as strawberries, kiwi, mango, and pineapple) Use any combination of fruits you prefer.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for fruit mixture)
For the Pita Chips
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 rounds pita bread Cut into triangles.
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter For brushing pita.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for sprinkling on pita)

Method
 

Preparation of Fruit Salsa
  1. Wash and dice your mixed fresh fruit finely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced fruit with lime juice and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Stir gently to coat the fruit evenly and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Preparation of Pita Chips
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the pita bread rounds into triangles.
  3. Brush them lightly with melted butter, and sprinkle a mixture of 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sugar on top.
  4. Arrange the pita triangles in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 8-10 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Serving
  1. Once the pita chips are done, let them cool slightly. Serve alongside your vibrant fruit salsa and enjoy!

Notes

Consider swapping in your favorite fruits and add a pinch of salt in the fruit salsa for extra flavor. Store the fruit salsa in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 days; pita chips can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days.
