Preparation
- Start by thawing the frozen strawberries. Once thawed, gently pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips with heavy cream. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between intervals until smooth and fully melted.
- Once the chocolate is melted, stir in the sugar and vanilla extract to enhance the flavor.
- Holding the stem, dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated. You can also use a fork for easier handling.
- Place the chocolate-covered strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Once all the strawberries are coated, put the sheet in the freezer for about 60-90 minutes.
- After freezing, serve the strawberries immediately or store them in an airtight container in the freezer for later enjoyment.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. If they’re too hard, let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before devouring. Experiment with toppings like crushed nuts or sprinkles for extra flavor.
