Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup peeled, diced apples (about 1-2 apples) Use sweet varieties like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best flavor.
Frosting and Toppings
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) Like walnuts or pecans for added texture.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar, mixing well until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
  4. Gradually add in the flour, baking powder, and salt, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. Gently fold diced apples into the batter, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  6. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the blondies cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, drizzle or spread caramel sauce on top for frosting. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped nuts.

Notes

Use fresh apples for best flavor and texture. Keep an eye on the blondies as they bake to avoid overbaking.
