Preparation
- Start by coring the apples and slicing them into rings about 1/4 inch thick.
Make the Batter
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Slowly add the milk and vanilla extract, whisking until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
Fry the Apple Rings
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or pot over medium heat.
- Dip each apple ring into the batter, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- Carefully place it in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the rings from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Toss the fried apple rings in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon while still warm to coat them.
Serving
- Serve warm as is or with a delicious dip.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Refrigerate for about a week. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
