Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon, stirring until combined and bubbly.
- Add the sliced peaches to the mixture and cook for about 5 minutes until they start to soften. Remove from heat.
- Pour the peach mixture into a lightly greased 9-inch round baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
Baking
- Roll out one sheet of puff pastry over the peaches. Poke a few holes in the top to let steam escape. Brush the top with the egg wash if desired.
- Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and cooked through.
Serving
- Once baked, let it cool for about 10 minutes before carefully inverting the dish onto a serving platter.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings if desired!
Notes
Substitutions: Other seasonal fruits like nectarines or pears can be used instead of peaches. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To freeze, wrap tightly for about a month. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
