Preparation
  1. Wash and pit the cherries. For a smoother texture, blend them slightly to crush before mixing.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine freshly squeezed lime juice, sugar, and cold water. Stir well until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the pitted cherries to the pitcher and mix well. If desired, blend again for a smoother consistency.
  4. Add ice to the pitcher or serve immediately over ice-filled glasses.
  5. Garnish with lime slices and a few whole cherries for an attractive presentation.

Notes

Cherry Substitutes: Use frozen cherries or berries if fresh cherries are unavailable. Prepare limeade a couple of hours before serving for optimal flavor. Adjust sugar to taste for desired tartness. Ensure the sugar dissolves completely before mixing.
