  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the eggs one at a time, along with the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden but centers look soft.
  3. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for about 10 seconds to restore freshness.
