  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can French onion soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup cooked rice or pasta You can swap rice for pasta or any halal-friendly grains.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional chopped parsley for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or oil.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat a pan over medium heat and sear the chicken until golden brown on both sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
Assembly
  1. In a large bowl, mix the French onion soup, sour cream, and cooked rice or pasta.
  2. Place the seared chicken breasts in the bottom of the prepared baking dish and pour the soup mixture over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese generously over the top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is bubbling.
Serving
  1. Optional: Sprinkle with chopped parsley for garnish and serve warm.

Notes

Substitute Swiss cheese with mozzarella or provolone if desired. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
