Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter and granulated sugar, stirring until smooth and glossy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, being careful not to over-mix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan, then cut into squares and decorate with the football-shaped sprinkles or icing.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 4-5 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Freeze in an airtight container for up to three months.
