Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, bell pepper, minced garlic, eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix until thoroughly combined, but do not over-mix.
- Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a lined baking sheet. Ensure it’s compact but not too tightly packed.
- Spread ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf for a delicious glaze.
Cooking
- Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, replace breadcrumbs with gluten-free alternatives. Add diced jalapeños or Worcestershire sauce for more flavor. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in foil or in an airtight container.
