  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Can use gluten-free breadcrumbs if needed.
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped Adds flavor and moisture.
  • 1 bell pepper finely chopped Any color bell pepper works.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor.
  • 2 large eggs Helps bind the ingredients.
  • 0.5 cup milk Keeps the meatloaf moist.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme Adds aromatic flavor.
  • 0.5 cup ketchup For glazing on top.
  • optional fresh parsley for garnish For a fresh finishing touch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, bell pepper, minced garlic, eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix until thoroughly combined, but do not over-mix.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a lined baking sheet. Ensure it’s compact but not too tightly packed.
  4. Spread ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf for a delicious glaze.
Cooking
  1. Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  2. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  3. Slice and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, replace breadcrumbs with gluten-free alternatives. Add diced jalapeños or Worcestershire sauce for more flavor. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in foil or in an airtight container.
