Ingredients

Fruits
  • 1 pound fresh figs, sliced
  • 1 cup blackberries, rinsed
Cream Mixture
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with coconut cream for a vegan option.
  • ¼ cup sugar Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon gelatin (optional) For a firmer texture.

Method

Preparation
  1. Gently rinse the blackberries and place them in a mixing bowl. Slice the figs and add them to the bowl with the blackberries. If desired, sprinkle a bit of sugar over the fruit to enhance their natural sweetness, and stir gently.
Making the Cream
  1. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla extract while continuing to whip until the cream has a nice, fluffy texture.
  2. If you’re using gelatin for a firmer dessert, dissolve it in a bit of warm water according to package instructions. Fold it into the whipped cream gently, ensuring not to deflate it.
Layering and Serving
  1. In serving glasses or bowls, create a layer of the fruit mixture at the bottom. Top with a generous scoop of the whipped cream, then repeat the layers until the glasses are filled.
  2. Cover the layered desserts and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to meld. Serve chilled and enjoy this delightful creation!

Notes

To store, cover the individual servings with plastic wrap and refrigerate. They’ll keep fresh for about 3-4 days. Avoid freezing as the cream may not thaw well. Gentle stir before serving is recommended.
