Preparation
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the cooked beef and add a splash of water if necessary. Stir well and simmer for about 5 minutes until the flavors meld together.
Cooking
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread out the tortilla chips in an even layer.
- Generously distribute the seasoned beef over the chips. Sprinkle both types of cheese evenly on top.
- Place the nachos in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Carefully remove the nachos from the oven. Top with diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, olives, and chopped green onions.
- Serve hot with a dollop of sour cream and guacamole on the side for extra flavor.
Notes
Use quality ingredients for better flavor. Feel free to customize toppings like corn, black beans, or grilled chicken.
