Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup plain yogurt Check for Halal certification.
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently while pouring in the vegetable oil.
  5. Lightly grease a cake pan and pour the batter into it, spreading evenly.
Baking
  1. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Once baked, allow the cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  2. Serve warm or at room temperature and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use Greek yogurt for a creamier texture and avoid over-mixing the batter. Store in an airtight container for up to three days or refrigerate for about a week.
