Ingredients

For the Steak
  • 1 pound Steak (sirloin or filet mignon), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and pepper, for seasoning Season generously
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil, for cooking the steak
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced For flavor
For the Gnocchi
  • 1 pound Gnocchi, fresh or store-bought Cook according to package instructions
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Adds richness
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by cutting the steak into bite-sized pieces. Season generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes until nicely browned.
  2. Once the steak is cooked to your liking (aim for medium-rare), add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. While the steak is cooking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to the package instructions until they float to the surface (about 2-3 minutes).
  4. Once the gnocchi is cooked, drain and add it to the skillet with the steak. Add in butter, tossing to coat the gnocchi and steak in the delicious garlic-infused sauce.
  5. Plate the dish and garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.

Notes

For tender steak bites, ensure not to overcrowd the skillet. Cook in batches if necessary! Feel free to experiment with herbs or spices! A sprinkle of Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes can add some delightful heat. If using frozen gnocchi, allow it to thaw slightly before cooking.
