Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice off the top of the loaf of bread about 1 inch from the top and hollow out the inside, leaving about an inch of bread on the sides and bottom.
- In a medium-sized skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped spinach until wilted, about 3-5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the wilted spinach, crumbled feta cheese, eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and stir until well mixed.
- Spoon the spinach and feta mixture into the hollowed loaf, pressing it down gently to pack in the filling.
Baking
- Place the stuffed loaf onto a baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
