Ingredients

For the Carrots
  • 1 lb fresh carrots, peeled and cut into ½-inch sticks Freshness is key to maximizing flavor!
For the Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Can be substituted with minced garlic or garlic salt.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Can use fresh onions for added flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional) For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing, peeling, and cutting the carrots into sticks. Aim for uniform sizes to ensure even cooking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss your carrot sticks in this mixture until they’re well coated.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned carrots into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding for the best texture.
  2. Cook for about 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even baking.
Serving
  1. Once they are golden brown and fork-tender, remove them from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving dish.
  2. If desired, sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For storing, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Freeze for longer storage, but the texture may soften upon thawing. Reheat in the air fryer or oven.
