Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh shrimp are best, but frozen will work if properly thawed.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For Assembling Tacos
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 unit avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • for serving Lime wedges Add for an extra burst of flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until the shrimp are well coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque.
Preparing Tortillas
  1. While the shrimp cook, warm the tortillas in a separate skillet for about 30 seconds on each side until they're pliable.
Assembling Tacos
  1. Lay the warm tortillas flat and add a handful of shredded cabbage as the base. Top with the cooked shrimp, diced tomatoes, and sliced avocado.
  2. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator, keeping shrimp separate from tortillas and toppings. They can last for about 1-2 days. Reheat shrimp in a skillet and warm tortillas for best taste.
