Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined) Opt for large shrimp for better stuffing and moisture.
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened) Can substitute with low-fat cream cheese or ricotta.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumb Use for stuffing and sprinkling on top.
  • 4 tablespoons butter (melted) Use unsalted butter for better flavor control.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Freshly squeezed lemon juice is preferred.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking dish by greasing it lightly with butter.
  2. If not already done, peel and devein the shrimp, keeping the tails on for presentation.
Making the Stuffing
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped green onions, breadcrumbs, melted butter, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Stuffing and Baking
  1. Carefully open each shrimp to fill it with the creamy mixture; be generous with the stuffing.
  2. Arrange the shrimp in your baking dish, tail-side up, and sprinkle extra breadcrumbs on top for crispiness.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the shrimp turns pink and the stuffing is golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve hot and enjoy the delightful flavors.

Notes

Store leftover shrimp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days or freeze for a month. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes to maintain crispness.
