Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 cans Canned Salmon (6 ounces each), drained and flaked
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (or gluten-free breadcrumbs for a GF option)
  • 1 large Egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup Green Onions, finely chopped Can substitute with regular onions
  • cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Olive Oil, for frying or Halal-friendly oil of your choice

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by draining and flaking the canned salmon in a large mixing bowl. Make sure to remove any skin or bones if you dislike them.
  2. Add the breadcrumbs, beaten egg, chopped green onions, fresh parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the salmon. Mix everything until well combined.
  3. With your hands, take about 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture and form it into round patties, about 1 inch thick. Place them on a plate.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet, heat 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  3. Once cooked, transfer the patties onto a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
Serving
  1. Plate these golden beauties with your favorite toppings and sides, and enjoy the exquisite taste of homemade salmon patties.
