Preparation
- Start by draining and flaking the canned salmon in a large mixing bowl. Make sure to remove any skin or bones if you dislike them.
- Add the breadcrumbs, beaten egg, chopped green onions, fresh parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the salmon. Mix everything until well combined.
- With your hands, take about 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture and form it into round patties, about 1 inch thick. Place them on a plate.
Cooking
- In a skillet, heat 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, transfer the patties onto a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
Serving
- Plate these golden beauties with your favorite toppings and sides, and enjoy the exquisite taste of homemade salmon patties.
Notes
You can elevate these patties with zesty yogurt sauce, fresh herbs, or a squeeze of lemon! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
