Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into 1-inch cubes Uniform pieces ensure even roasting.
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • ½ teaspoon pepper Adjust to taste.
Optional Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). A hot oven is crucial for achieving that crispy texture.
  2. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into 1-inch cubes to ensure they cook evenly.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the cubed sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings. Ensure every piece is coated evenly.
Cooking
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and spread the sweet potatoes in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  2. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for about 25-30 minutes or until the sweet potatoes are golden brown and tender, flipping halfway through.
  3. Once done, take them out, let them cool slightly, and then transfer to a serving dish. Enjoy them warm!

Notes

You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Freeze for up to 3 months, ensuring they are cooled completely before transfer. To reheat, warm in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes or in a skillet on the stove for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.
