Ingredients

Pasta ingredients
  • 12 oz pasta (your choice: penne, fusilli, or spaghetti) Choose your preferred type.
Sauce ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Use high-quality olive oil for best flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Sauté until fragrant, do not burn.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Allow to simmer until slightly thickened.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Use freshly grated for best taste.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional) Adds freshness to the dish.

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your chosen pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, making sure not to burn it.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine with the garlic. Allow the cream to simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Reduce the heat to low and add the drained pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce.
  2. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and offers that delicious cheesy flavor.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.

Notes

Serve with a light salad like Caprese, garlic bread, and a refreshing beverage. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; reheat with a splash of milk or cream.
