Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a round cake pan, melt the butter and brown sugar over low heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is well combined.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle the pecan halves evenly over the mixture.

- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and remaining butter until fluffy.

- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add this to the creamed mixture alternating with the milk, bening and ending with the flour.
Baking
- Pour the batter gently over the pecan mixture in the pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Serving
- Let the cake cool for a few minutes.
- Carefully invert it onto a serving plate.
