Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together.
- In another bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and egg. Beat until well blended.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla extract until they form a paste.
- Spread the pecan mixture evenly across the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough atop the pecan layer in the baking dish.
Baking
- Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown.
- Let the sticky buns cool for a few minutes before flipping them onto a serving platter.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, add a pinch of cinnamon to the dough. These sticky buns are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months. To reheat, place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
