  • 1 box box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional) For added texture and flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drain the sliced pears well and spread them evenly in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the teaspoon of cinnamon over the pears.
  4. Open the box of yellow cake mix and evenly sprinkle it over the pears without mixing.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering it well.
  6. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  7. Bake for about 35-40 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving to allow flavors to settle.

Notes

This cake is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. To reheat, microwave for 20-30 seconds or warm in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes. Common substitutions include using white cake mix or gluten-free options.
