Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, and salt. Stir to mix evenly.
- Add the softened butter and egg yolk, combining until the mixture is crumbly.
- Fold in your shredded cheese until fully combined with the dough.
- Take tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture, roll them into balls, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Use your thumb to press down gently on each ball, creating a small indent in the center.
- If you’re using any toppings, sprinkle them generously onto the thumbprints.
Baking
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Once baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
