Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces ripe peaches, sliced Can substitute with nectarines or fresh apricots.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Ensure cream is cold before whipping.
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Consider using almond extract for variation.
  • a pinch salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash your peaches under cool water and slice them into wedges, removing any pits. You can peel them or leave the skin on for added texture.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Using an electric mixer, whisk the mixture on medium speed until soft peaks form, usually taking around 3-5 minutes.
Assembly
  1. In a serving bowl or individual cups, layer the sliced peaches and the freshly whipped cream. Start with a layer of peaches, then top with a generous dollop of cream. Repeat this layering until you’ve run out of ingredients.
  2. For an extra touch, sprinkle some chopped nuts or a dusting of cinnamon on top before serving.
Serving
  1. This delightful dessert is best served immediately, but you can chill it in the refrigerator for a short while if you prefer it cold.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Whisk gently again before serving if the cream separates. Not suitable for freezing as the cream can lose its silky texture.
