Preparation
- Start by cutting your mozzarella cheese into sticks about 3 inches long and 1/2 inch thick.
- In three separate shallow bowls, place flour in the first, the beaten eggs in the second, and breadcbs (seasoned with garlic powder and Italian seasoning) in the third.
- Take each mozzarella stick and coat it in flour first, shaking off the excess. Then, dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully covered. Finally, roll it in the breadcbs until well coated.
- Continue this process until all mozzarella sticks are breaded. You can place them on a baking sheet and refrigerate them for about 15 minutes to help the coating adhere better.
- In a large skillet, heat enough vegetable oil to submerge the sticks over medium heat until hot (about 350°F).
- Carefully place a few mozzarella sticks in the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook until golden brown, approximately 1-2 minutes per side.
- Once cooked, remove the sticks with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce!
Notes
To preserve the crunchy texture, avoid overcrowding the pan while frying. For leftovers, store in an airtight container for 2-3 days, or freeze uncooked sticks for longer storage.
