Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough Ensure dough is halal-compliant.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter Melted for the syrup.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup nuts or chocolate chips Optional for added flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a bundt pan or tube pan generously with cooking spray or melted butter to prevent sticking.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
  4. Cut the refrigerated biscuit dough into quarters.
  5. Roll each piece of dough in the sugar-cinnamon mixture until fully coated.
  6. Layer the coated pieces of dough in the prepared baking dish, sprinkling nuts or chocolate chips between layers if desired.
  7. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the brown sugar and stir until well-combined and slightly thickened. Pour this mixture evenly over the layered dough.
Baking
  1. Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes in the pan before inverting it onto a serving plate.
  3. Prepare to pull apart and enjoy!

Notes

For a healthier twist, consider using whole wheat biscuit dough. Keep an eye on baking time as ovens vary, and ensure the pan is greased to prevent sticking.
