- Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into evenly sized chunks, about 1 to 2 inches thick.
- Fill a large pot with water and add a pinch of salt. Bring the water to a rolling boil and carefully add the potato chunks.
- Boil the potatoes until tender, around 15-20 minutes, depending on the size of the chunks.
- Drain the potatoes in a colander and let them sit for a couple of minutes to remove excess moisture.
- Return the potatoes to the pot or place them in a large mixing bowl. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
- Add the milk and butter, mixing until creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the Easy Mashed Potatoes to a serving dish and enjoy them warm.
Notes
For added depth, consider adding garlic powder, chives, or cheddar cheese for a cheesy twist while keeping it halal compliant. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for 1-2 months. Reheat on the stovetop over low heat with a splash of milk.
