Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, diced jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.
- Take an egg roll wrapper and place it on a clean, flat surface. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling into the center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom edge over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up tightly. Moisten the top edge with water to seal the roll.
Cooking
- In a deep frying pan, heat about 2 inches of oil over medium heat. The oil is ready when a drop of filling sizzles upon contact.
- Carefully place a few egg rolls into the hot oil, cooking for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Do not overcrowd the pan.
- Once cooked, remove the egg rolls and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Serving
- Enjoy the egg rolls hot with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, BBQ, or hot sauce.
Notes
To achieve the best results, customize the spice level to your preference. Make sure to seal the egg rolls tightly. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
