Preparation
- Begin by cutting your chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Make sure to keep them uniform for even cooking.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water until smooth. This will be your sweet and sticky sauce.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces in a single layer and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Reduce the heat to medium, and pour the prepared sauce over the cooked chicken. Stir to coat the chicken evenly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
If you want a lighter option, use skinless chicken thighs. Watch the chicken while it cooks to avoid overcooking. Don’t skip the cornstarch, as it thickens the sauce.
