Preparation
- Start by cutting the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
Making the Sauce
- In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and rice vinegar until well combined.
Cooking the Chicken
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of sesame oil.
- Once hot, add the chicken pieces and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Adding the Sauce
- Pour the honey soy sauce mixture over the chicken in the skillet and stir well to coat all pieces.
- Allow to simmer for another 3-5 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly.
Garnishing and Serving
- Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles to soak up all that delicious sauce.
Notes
Storing leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge is recommended. This dish can also be frozen for up to 2 months. When reheating, the stovetop preserves the chicken's texture best.
