  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil Add a drizzle for cooking and in the sauce.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar Adds a tangy contrast.
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds For garnishing.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped For garnishing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and rice vinegar until well combined.
Cooking the Chicken
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of sesame oil.
  2. Once hot, add the chicken pieces and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Adding the Sauce
  1. Pour the honey soy sauce mixture over the chicken in the skillet and stir well to coat all pieces.
  2. Allow to simmer for another 3-5 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly.
Garnishing and Serving
  1. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  2. Serve hot over rice or noodles to soak up all that delicious sauce.

Notes

Storing leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge is recommended. This dish can also be frozen for up to 2 months. When reheating, the stovetop preserves the chicken's texture best.
