  • 1/2 cup diced pickles Dill or sweet pickles work well.
  • 1/4 cup pickle juice Adjust for tanginess.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese and sour cream to the bowl. Use a handheld mixer or a whisk to combine thoroughly until it's smooth and creamy.
  3. Fold in the diced pickles, pickle juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  4. Taste and adjust any seasonings according to preference.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped fresh dill if desired and serve with crackers, veggies, or pita chips.

Notes

Refrigerating the dip after mixing allows the flavors to meld beautifully. Best served chilled and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Avoid freezing.
